This Registered Nurse
- Medical Administrator Specialist / Patient Care Coordinator (PCC) position is located in the Nursing, Acute Care Service at the Augusta, ME location. This position is full-time at 40 hours per week. Duties include but are not limited to:
- The patient care coordinator (PCC) is a registered nurse who serves as a nursing administrator/supervisor.
- Functions as role model, clinical expert and resource and provides leadership to an interdisciplinary team.
- Responsible for assisting the nurse manager in ensuring that the nursing needs of patients are met and is the primary facilitator of patient flow, admissions and discharges.
- The PCC functions as a facility supervisor during the off tours and has the authority to direct nursing staff as well as direct patient flow.
- Serve as a Point of Contact (POC) and Coordinator for nursing staff in all areas of Patient Care Services during off tours and holidays, and assumes all technical and administrative responsibility for the management of all areas of Patient Care Services during off tours and holidays.
- Serves in a supervisory/administrative capacity for staff in all areas of Patient Care Services during off tours and holidays, and directs the establishment, implementation and coordination of patient care.
- Provides support by identifying problem areas and elements influencing regulatory compliance and ensures steps are taken for corrective action/service recovery and assures documents for scheduling time are accurate and completed timely.

Pay:
