This 32-hour-per-week opportunity offers the chance to build meaningful relationships with patients and families while working alongside a multidisciplinary team committed to delivering exceptional, compassionate cancer care close to home.
As an Advanced Practice Provider within Medical Oncology, you will play an integral role in the evaluation, treatment and ongoing management of patients throughout their cancer journey. Working collaboratively with our medical oncologists and the broader cancer care team, you will have the opportunity to practice with a high level of clinical involvement while providing the personalized care and continuity that are so important to oncology patients.
Your Role
Our APPs are valued members of the oncology care team and actively participate in developing and carrying out individualized plans of care.
Responsibilities include:
Obtaining comprehensive histories and performing physical examinations
Evaluating new and established oncology patients
Ordering and interpreting appropriate laboratory testing, diagnostic studies and imaging
Assessing treatment response, symptoms and potential treatment-related toxicities
Developing diagnoses and clinical assessments in collaboration with the oncology team
Prescribing pharmacologic and other therapeutic interventions within scope of practice
Providing patient and family education throughout treatment and survivorship
Coordinating care with physicians, nurses and other members of the multidisciplinary cancer care team
Supporting continuity of care through thoughtful, personalized and compassionate patient visits
