Job Summary
Gray Birch is seeking an experienced and compassionate Nurse Manager to lead our nursing team and oversee the delivery of exceptional care within our skilled nursing unit. This leadership role is responsible for managing clinical operations, supporting and developing staff, ensuring regulatory compliance, and fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and patient-centered care.

What You'll Do- Develops and implements specific departmental goals, standards, and objectives which directly support the strategic plan and vision of the organization.
- Directs and evaluates departmental operations including performance management, staff satisfaction and conflict management.
- Performs and oversees scheduling, recruitment, payroll and student engagements.
- Plans and monitors departmental budgets, regulatory compliance, departmental contracts and vendor relations.
- Determines and justifies needs for systems/equipment/supplies purchases, monitors usage, and oversees proper working order and/or stock supplies.
- Prepares, monitors, and evaluates the quality of patient care delivered and coordinates patient care services with patients, staff, physicians, and other departments.
- Manages complaints and conflicts through to resolution.
- Current State of Maine Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- Previous leadership or management experience in long-term care, skilled nursing, or a healthcare setting preferred.
- Strong knowledge of long-term care regulations, quality standards, and resident-centered care practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams, manage operations, and drive quality outcomes.
- Excellent communication, conflict resolution, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with residents, families, providers, and staff.

Individual compensation is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations.
