Critical Care Registered Nurse; RN

Job Summary:

Maine General Health is seeking an experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Critical Care Unit at the Alfond Center for Health in Augusta, Maine.

Schedule:

30 hours per week (You will work two 12-hour shifts one week and three 12-hour shifts the next week.

Shift: Nights (7p-7a)
What You'll Do:

Plans, implements, and evaluates patient care plans based on patient assessment to optimize outcomes and maximize available resources. Monitors, records, and communicates patient condition as appropriate.

Collaborates as needed across disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.

Evaluates the learning needs of the patient and/or family and provides patient/family education appropriate to age, culture, condition, and circumstances.

Effectively delegates patient care to ancillary personnel. May precept student nurses and new hires.

What You Bring:

Active Maine RN licensure or ability to obtain same in a timely fashion, required

At least 1 year of RN experience in an acute care setting, strongly preferred

Prior/recent CCU experience, preferred

Strong clinical assessment, critical thinking, and prioritization skills

Ability to work effectively in a high-acuity, team-based environment

Preferred certifications: BLS, ACLS, MOABWhy Maine General:

Compensation Information:$35.00 - $61.25

The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
