Talentmark are looking for a Bioinformatician to join a well‑funded Immunology biotech that has a strong portfolio of autoimmune and inflammatory therapies. This will be a one‑year contract on either an interim or fixed‑term contract basis.

The Role

As Bioinformatician you will play a key role in advancing therapeutic programmes through data‑driven insights. Operating at a mid‑senior level and reporting to the Principal Data Scientist, you will work with a high degree of independence while actively contributing to cross‑functional project teams.

The role spans preclinical and clinical programmes, leveraging internal and publicly available multi‑omics datasets to elucidate mechanisms of action, support indication selection, and inform strategic decision‑making across pipelines.

Responsibilities
  • Leading the development, curation, and continuous improvement of an in‑house multi‑omics database, integrating internal and external datasets into a scalable and well‑annotated resource.
  • Independently design, implement, and deliver analyses of transcriptomics datasets, using reproducible, robust and up‑to‑date methodologies.
  • Perform integrative multi‑omics analyses to further understand mechanisms of action and support indication selection.
  • Maintain and develop the internal data sharing platform using R/Shiny to enable intuitive data exploration and decision‑making by the wider team.
Your Background
  • Proven experience in processing and analysing transcriptomics data.
  • Experience accessing, curating, and analysing public omics datasets from resources such as GEO, Array Express and SRA.
  • Strong programming skills in R, with experience in RMarkdown and Shiny.
  • Experience developing, optimising, and maintaining bioinformatics pipelines.
  • Familiarity with Linux environments and cloud computing platforms.
