Job Description
We are seeking a dynamic Business Development Representative to join our growing team in the Portland, Lewiston-Auburn and Augusta, ME region
. In this role, you will be responsible for identifying and cultivating new business opportunities, contributing to our company's growth and success.
- Prospect and qualify new sales leads through cold calling, email outreach, and social selling techniques
- Conduct thorough research on potential clients and their industries to tailor our value proposition
- Schedule and conduct introductory meetings with decision-makers to understand their needs and present our solutions
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and implement effective lead generation strategies
- Maintain accurate records of all sales activities and customer interactions in our CRM system
- Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets and key performance indicators
- Participate in industry events and trade shows to expand our network and generate new leads
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends, competitor offerings, and our product/service developments
- 1 - 3 years of experience in sales or business development, with a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with potential clients
- Proficiency in CRM software (e.g., Salesforce, Hub Spot) and Microsoft Office Suite or Google Workspace
- Excellent presentation and negotiation skills to effectively communicate our value proposition
- Demonstrated time management and organizational abilities to manage multiple prospects and priorities
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field preferred
- Knowledge of sales techniques and methodologies
- Understanding of the B2B sales process and ability to adapt to various industries
- Self-motivated with a results-oriented mindset and the ability to work independently
- Resilience and persistence in the face of rejection and ability to learn from feedback
