Overview
EFI Global is a full‑service engineering, fire investigation, environmental, health and safety, and specialty consulting firm. The Vice President, Business Development is a senior growth leader responsible for accelerating the company’s market presence and revenue growth across either the Eastern or Western United States.
Primary PurposeTo expand and enhance the company’s top line through diligent relationship building and maintenance with prospective clients across an area; to identify and address prospective and existing client opportunities for marketing the company’s programs; and to ensure sales goals, objectives and profit margins are met.
Key Responsibilities- Identify, develop and maintain internal and external relationships/partnerships.
- Provide leadership and direction for the business development team.
- Maintain accountability for regional growth and revenue objectives.
- Drive alignment with the company’s sales strategy and organizational goals.
- Establish and monitor key performance indicators and business results.
- Develop and maintain relationships with prospective clients and strategic partners.
- Facilitate the development of new partnerships and remain involved in the implementation process, ensuring a smooth transition of new client programs.
- Develop detailed knowledge of individual prospect operations targeting specific needs that may be opportunities for marketing company programs.
- Ensure identification of the expertise required to address individual prospect requirements and identify resources for prospect solicitation and service teams.
- Utilize appropriate national resources to facilitate responses and pricing for RFPs, proposals, and presentations.
- Manage the design of service programs to ensure client need fulfillment.
- Develop and implement an annual sales and service plan, including identification of potential client prospects, their needs, and the methodology of presenting the company’s ability to fulfill those needs.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Travel as required.
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university required.
- Bachelor’s degree with a major in Business Administration, Finance or Risk Management preferred.
- Licenses as required.
- Possession of, or progress toward, CPCU and/or ARM designation required.
- Ten (10) years of relationship building in the claims management or risk management area, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Excellent oral and written communication, including presentation skills.
- Proficient with PC tools, including Microsoft Office.
- Analytical and interpretive skills.
- Strong organizational skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Ability to meet or exceed performance expectations.
- When applicable, reasonable accommodations will be considered.
- Credit security clearance, confirmed via a background credit check, is required.
- Travel is required as necessary.
