About the Role
The Clinical or (Customer) Success Specialist is a key customer expansion role in Baxter’s Vision Care team. Supporting the national customer success leader, the specialist has a customer‑first mindset and a solution‑focused approach. The role requires strong interpersonal skills, leadership, and organization.
Territory & Travel- Territory:
Maine, Vermont, New Hampshire, Massachusetts, Connecticut, Rhode Island, New York, New Jersey, Maryland, Virginia, Pennsylvania (cutoff at Philadelphia) - Travel up to 50% within assigned region, overnight stays as needed.
- Drive solution adoption and expand the install base for Retina Vue Care Delivery Model.
- Act as an expert in the domain, lead best‑practice workflows, and influence customers to embrace the most effective deployment of the solution.
- Proactively engage strategic accounts and support the onboarding of new customers, ensuring success from day one.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales partners and support teams to maintain high customer satisfaction.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred; high school diploma or GED required.
- Ophthalmology or clinical background required.
- 3+ years of customer‑facing experience in a sales and/or sales support capacity.
- 3+ years of life sciences experience with clinical expertise preferred.
- Technical proficiency and ability to learn software programs and troubleshoot, including remote meeting platforms.
- Self‑starter, customer‑focused, and intrinsically motivated.
- Ability to engage physicians/clinicians, motivate change, and articulate value of the solution.
- Up to 30% regional travel required, including overnight stays.
- Resident within the territory and accessible to a major airport.
The estimated base pay range for this position is $72,000 - $99,000 annually, with additional incentive compensation for achieving or exceeding goals. Pay may vary by location, skills, expertise, experience, and other factors.
