Job DescriptionThe Augusta Civic Center (ACC) is seeking to hire Event Security Staff to help safeguard staff, clients, customers, and property while supporting the successful operation of events and activities at our busy public facility. In this role, you'll serve as a key point of contact for clients, staff, and visitors, help maintain a secure environment, respond to situations that arise during events, assist with emergency procedures, and coordinate with ACC staff and emergency services when needed.
The successful candidate should demonstrate sound judgment, professionalism, and strong customer service skills, with the ability to remain calm in an active event environment, provide clear direction, and respond appropriately to safety and security concerns. You'll play an important role in helping ensure that events run smoothly and that everyone who visits the Civic Center feels safe and welcome. Hours This position requires availability to work a non-standard work week, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays, based on event schedules and facility needs.
Requirements High school diploma or equivalent required. A minimum of five (5) years of customer service experience and prior supervisory experience are required. Candidates must possess, or be willing to obtain, CPR and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) training. Crowd Manager Certification is required within thirty (30) days of hire. Candidates must also possess, or be willing to obtain after hire, TIPs or similar Alcohol Server Certification.
Compensation This is an intermittent, part-time, non-exempt hourly position. The pay range for PT14 is $16.63 to $20.76 per hour. The starting rate within the hiring range will be based on experience and qualifications. This position is not eligible for benefits, except as required by law.
