Job Description:
This position is highly involved in the installation, maintenance, repair, and inspection of all types of highway electrical equipment. This includes Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) such as speed feedback signs, travel time signs, highway lighting and traffic signals. The position ensures that all these devices get installed and repaired to Maine DOT standards. This position will spend most of their time in the field either in a bucket truck or on the ground.
The remainder of their time will be spent preparing items for installation in our shop. Additionally, some computer work will be required. This position will also plan and execute field work, clean and reset cameras, diagnose traffic signal issues, and mark out jobs for dig safe. Work is performed under a Master Electrician.
To be minimally qualified for this position candidates must provide evidence of the following experience:
A valid current Journeyman Electrician's license.
Licensing/Registration/Certification Requirements:
Maine Journeyman Electrician's license as issued by the Electrician's Examining Board and a Class B Commercial Driver's License.
