Part Time Service Technician; Augusta, ME

Overview

Innovative Refrigeration Systems, Inc. is seeking a part-time Service Technician for a world-class company in design and engineering to work with large industrial refrigeration systems, specifically with Ammonia. This position will be responsible for client facility walk-throughs, audits, and inspections. The technician will report to the Service Manager for further instruction. This is intended to be a long-term, part-time role that requires reporting to the client facility or working several hours each week.

Part-time role requiring 1 day per week between 7:00 AM and 6:00 PM.

• Weekly refrigeration inspections and basic maintenance support for industrial accounts in food and beverage and refrigerated storage equipment, ranging from 100 HP to 5,000 HP.
• Visually inspect and report findings for all plant refrigeration equipment to the customer and service manager.
• Demonstrate understanding and adherence to all work safety policies, procedures, and governing requirements.
• All other duties as assigned by the service manager.

• High school diploma or GED; HVAC technician school preferred.
• Minimum of 1+ years of industrial HVAC experience preferred but not required (training may be available).
• Universal EPA certification preferred.
• Pre-employment drug screening, felony screening, and driving record check.
• Professional grooming and conduct; able to represent the company well.
• Ability to climb 40-foot extension ladders and work on all types of ladders.
• Ability to see and hear in an industrial environment.
• Capable of lifting up to 50 lbs and performing frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, and squatting.
• Willingness to work in very hot (above 100
  
  F) or very cold (below 10
  
  F) temperatures and wear required safety PPE.
