This role provides structural and craft work in the general maintenance and repair field, supporting the Directorate of Facilities Engineering.

• Perform general replacement, upkeep, and repair of heating, plumbing, and electrical fixtures or equipment, including clearing clogged drains and replacing external fixtures.
• Clean, maintain, and service hand tools, machines, equipment, and work area daily to comply with safety standards and prolong equipment life.
• Operate grounds maintenance equipment for snow removal, mowing, brush removal, tree clearing, road, and parking repair.

• Knowledge of applicable building and safety codes.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow blueprints.
• Ability to safely use a wide variety of power tools.
• Two (2) years of experience in general maintenance and repairs of buildings, machinery, and mechanical systems.
• Ability to perform general mechanical repair work.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow manufacturer specifications and instructions for using, cleaning, and repairing machinery and equipment.

Two (2) years experience in the general maintenance and repair of machinery, equipment, mechanical systems, and buildings.

• Ability to operate acetylene and arc welding equipment.
• Knowledge of tools, materials, equipment, methods, and practices of plumbing, welding, electrical maintenance and repair work.

Pass a National Agency Check (NAC), a federal background check required by the National Guard Bureau.
