This on-site/in-building position is responsible for assisting with general maintenance projects in our 200,000 sq ft facility located in Augusta, Maine and will directly report to our Facilities Manager.
RESPONSIBILITIES- Perform maintenance, service and repair to our refrigeration system, HVAC, Dock Doors, Loading Plates and Material Handling Equipment
- Assists with general construction, plumbing, electrical and painting projects
- Responsible for maintaining a safe work environment
- Must be proficient with Computers, ability to read blueprints and have basic math skills
- Able to respond to off hours emergencies when necessary
- Responsible for maintenance of warehouse racking
- Other duties as assigned
- High School Diploma or Equivalent
- 6-12 months maintenance experience
- Mechanically inclined to fix dock plates, garage doors, pallet jacks and operate industrial tools
- Ability to do general carpentry repairs and painting of walls, ceilings, flooring, etc.
- Computer skills to work with PO’s, work orders, read blueprints and process flows
- Must be able to use ladders, powered lifts
- Must be able to lift/carry up to 50 lbs occasionally and lesser weight regularly
