Resident Services Coordinator
Location: Augusta, ME
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30 AM-5:00 PM
Pay: $28/hour
Type: Full-Time, Permanent | Onsite
We are seeking a compassionate and resourceful Resident Services Coordinator to support residents within a residential community in the Augusta, Maine area.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in social services, human services, case management, community outreach, supportive housing, senior services, or disability services who enjoys helping individuals access resources and maintain their independence.
Prior Resident Services Coordinator experience is preferred, but not required
. Candidates with transferable social services experience are strongly encouraged to apply.
- Serve as a resource and advocate for residents, helping identify individual needs and appropriate support services
- Connect residents with community resources including food, transportation, financial and rental assistance, benefits, healthcare resources, and other supportive programs
- Provide referrals and follow-up support to help residents successfully access available services
- Develop relationships with local social service agencies, nonprofits, healthcare providers, and community organizations
- Support older adults and individuals with disabilities in maintaining independence
- Assist residents experiencing housing-related or personal challenges by identifying resources and developing appropriate action plans
- Coordinate educational programs, wellness initiatives, resident activities, and community events
- Maintain accurate and confidential documentation of resident services and interactions
- Complete required reporting and participate in ongoing training
- Collaborate closely with onsite management and other team members to address resident needs
- Maintain appropriate professional boundaries while developing positive and trusting relationships with residents
- 2+ years of experience in social services, human services, case management, resident services, supportive housing, community services, senior services, disability services, or a related field preferred
- Experience working directly with individuals and connecting them with community resources
- Strong communication, advocacy, organization, and problem-solving skills
- Compassionate and patient approach with the ability to maintain professional boundaries
- Ability to work independently while collaborating with an onsite team
- Strong documentation and follow-up skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office
A bachelor's degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Sociology, Gerontology, Human Services, or a related field is preferred but not required
. Relevant professional experience will be considered in place of a degree.
Experience working with older adults, individuals with disabilities, housing programs, or community-based social services is a plus.
Compensation: $28/hour
