Job Overview
Base Pay:
Hourly (OT after 40hrs). Locations: 82 Goldthwaite Road – Auburn, ME; 21 Cole road Biddeford ME; 93 Scott Drive – Westbrook, ME; 72 Biscay road, Damariscotta, ME; 2 Hard Rock Road – Augusta, ME; 50 Arthur Reno Road – West Bath, ME.

Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
- Primary responsibility is to ensure personal safety and safe operation of the assigned vehicle while transporting ready mixed concrete from the batch plant to customer job sites.
- Inspect, service, and clean the truck; wash down the mixer truck to remove excess concrete.
- Maintain daily vehicle inspections and reports (time sheets, miles, hours, etc.) to ensure vehicles are safe and well maintained.
- Deliver quality product, including mixing load, adding chemicals, estimating consistency in slump values, and ensuring correct dosage.
- Notify the dispatcher of job site information and conditions (e.g., delays, test results).
- Maintain the appearance of the mixer truck, load, unload, and secure equipment as needed.
- Maintain radio contact with dispatch for scheduling changes.
- Prepare, receive, and provide appropriate documentation.
- Maintain the highest standard of safety and quality in all aspects of the job.
- Perform general maintenance and yard work as assigned by the supervisor.
- Climb ladder to check load before adding water and to fill the water tank.
- Add admixtures to the mixer drum, attach extension chutes, and safely navigate off‑road job sites.
- Fill waste concrete blocks, reset waste concrete block forms, and grease trucks as needed.
- Enter the mixer drum for cleaning and maintenance under supervision.
- Refuel the truck every night without exception.
- Work flexible hours; customers often require delivery before and after normal business hours, and are expected to work every other Saturday.
- Normal working hours: 6:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; 6:00 a.m. to Noon Saturday (April through November).
- Current/valid Maine driver’s license (CDL‑Class
B). - Satisfactory driving and criminal record.
- Must pass a pre‑employment and random drug screens.
- Ability to speak, understand, read, and write English.
- Minimum age of 18 with driving school certificate; 21 with two years driving experience.
- Competitive hourly pay with overtime after 40 hours.
