Position Overview

Title: School Bus Driver – Education in the Unorganized Territory
Location: Silver Ridge, Maine
Grade / Admin Unit: 10 / Operation/Maintenance
Job Class Code: 8000
Schedule: Part‑time, 20 hours weekly
Salary: $15.10 – $19.92 per hour
Opening Date: July 09, 2026
Closing Date: July 23, 2026

Responsibilities
  • Safely operate a school bus to transport students to and from school and school‑related activities.
  • Enforce bus rules to maintain student discipline and report violations or incidents.
  • Conduct pre‑ and post‑trip inspections and schedule maintenance as needed.
  • Keep the bus clean and presentable at all times.
  • Complete required reports and ensure students are picked up and dropped off at authorized stops in compliance with school policies and safety regulations.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • At least 21 years of age.
  • No criminal record or driving violations.
Licensing / Registration / Certification

Must hold a valid Maine Class B Motor Vehicle Operator's License with passenger and school bus endorsement.
