Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Diesel Mechanic to join our team in Aurangabad on a contract basis. This mid-level position plays a critical role in maintaining and ensuring the reliable operation of our transport fleet. The candidate will be responsible for diagnosing and repairing diesel engines and performing preventive maintenance tasks. This role requires a hands-on professional with experience in maintaining school bus systems.

Qualifications and Skills
Proficient in diagnosing and repairing diesel engines, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.

Experience with preventive maintenance schedules to minimize breakdowns and optimize fleet usage.
Knowledgeable in bus mechanics, including engine and hydraulic systems, to ensure safety and efficiency.
Expertise in brake systems to guarantee the safe operation of school transportation vehicles.
Capable of conducting complete engine overhauls and timely identifying engine malfunctions.
Ability to read and interpret technical documentation, blueprints, schematics, and service manuals.
Strong fleet maintenance skills to assist in planning and implementing efficient vehicle maintenance strategies.
Critical thinking and problem-solving skills to evaluate complex mechanical issues and propose effective solutions.

Roles and Responsibilities
Conduct regular check-ups and maintenance on the diesel engines of school buses to ensure reliability and safety.
Identify and rectify any mechanical and electrical faults in the fleet vehicles promptly.
Collaborate with transportation management to prioritize maintenance tasks and reduce overall downtime.
Ensure compliance with all safety and emissions standards as per regulatory requirements.
Maintain complete records of repairs, inspections, and maintenance operations performed.
Advise management on fleet performance, diagnostics, and needed mechanical processes.
Inspect hydraulic systems, lighting, and electronically operated bus features for proper function.
Coordinate with external service providers when specialized repairs or services are necessary.
