Experienced Dance Teacher for Multiple Styles

The York Dance Academy is looking for an Experienced Dance Teacher to instruct various styles including ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and yoga. Join us as we grow and celebrate 40 years of impact in the community.

We are hiring dance instructors for both recreational and competitive classes at our York Dance Academy. This contracted position requires applicants to have substantial dance experience and a post-secondary degree. The ideal candidate will contribute to a supportive atmosphere while guiding students through their dance journeys.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide instruction in ballet, tap, jazz, contemporary, and yoga

• Train both recreational and competitive dancers

• Develop creative and effective class structures

• Collaborate with colleagues for performance readiness

• Maintain communication with students and parents

Requirements:

• Professional experience in dance education

• Post-secondary education from a recognized institution

• Must own a vehicle for transportation

• Available to teach evenings and summer camps

• Passionate about fostering student growth and confidence
