Senior Tax Advisor

PT&C Group, LLC dba Platform Accounting Group seeks Senior Tax Advisor in Aurora, CO.

Prepares individual, business, exempt, and fiduciary tax returns. Computes taxes owed and prepares tax returns, ensuring compliance with payment, reporting, and other tax requirements. Handles complicated multi-state tax returns. Communicates with clients regarding tax return information and status. Analyzes tax returns and advises clients on tax planning and compliance. Reviews previous tax returns and financial documents to identify problems and propose changes and amendments.

Coaches and develops Tax Advisors’ knowledge of tax and accounting. Builds, maintains, and enhances client relationships and demonstrates knowledge of each client’s business and finances. Prepares financial reports using advanced accounting knowledge. Proposes, explains, and enters journal entries. Provides accounting services and consulting, including bookkeeping, payroll, and sales tax.

Develops, implements, modifies, and documents recordkeeping and accounting systems, making use of current computer technology. Provides advisory services to clients related to finances, taxes, and business practices. Maintains and builds knowledge of tax laws and accounting practices. Proactively plans for changes to clients’ business situations. Represents clients before and corresponds with tax authorities.

3 years’ experience as an accountant and bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Accounting or Business Administration is required. A U.S. Master’s degree in accounting or business administration will satisfy the requirement for a U.S. bachelor’s degree in accounting or business administration.
