The Controller serves as a key financial leader within IME, overseeing the day-to-day accounting operations and ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and effectiveness of the company's financial reporting processes. This role partners closely with executive leadership to support strategic decision‑making, financial planning, budgeting, forecasting, and organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities Financial Management & Reporting- Oversee and manage the daily operations of the Accounting Department.
- Prepare, review, and analyze monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and supporting schedules.
- Ensure the timely and accurate completion of month‑end and year‑end closing processes.
- Develop, analyze, and interpret accounting and financial information to evaluate organizational performance, profitability, and operational effectiveness.
- Establish and maintain accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls to ensure compliance and financial accuracy.
- Prepare reports that communicate the company’s financial position, operating results, and future outlook to executive leadership.
- Coordinate the preparation of annual budgets, forecasts, and long‑range financial plans.
- Monitor and report on performance against budget and forecast expectations.
- Analyze revenue, labor, project costs, financial commitments, and operating trends to identify risks and opportunities.
- Develop financial models and operational analyses to support business planning and decision‑making.
- Provide recommendations related to resource allocation, budgeting strategies, and financial performance improvements.
- Assist with the development, tracking, and reporting of key performance indicators (KPIs).
- Maintain a strong understanding of construction accounting principles, job costing, and project financial performance.
- Partner with operational leaders to evaluate project profitability and financial outcomes.
- Review contracts, leases, financial commitments, and obligations to assess business and financial impact.
- Support the analysis of labor productivity, project costs, and operational efficiencies.
