Financial Consulting Manager – Real Estate Accounting

• Manage the accounting and finance functions of multiple clients in a shared services environment, serving as clients' Controller
• Work in client technology environments and within the FaaS technology stack
• Participate in client design sessions to analyze requirements and redesign business processes
• Lead, manage, and coach client services representatives, associates, senior associates, and supervisors
• Review monthly financial statements, including month-over-month variance analysis and budget-versus-actual analysis
• Analyze and interpret financial information and provide actionable insight and decision support
• Identify opportunities to enhance clients' monthly operations and suggest process improvements
• Identify systems, modules, integrations, and add-on processes to improve month-end close efficiency
• Define and document repeatable methodologies, tools, and templates
• Establish engagement budgets and take accountability for engagement economics
• Direct assessments, implementations, and onboarding of new FaaS clients
• Write service agreements and statements of work
• Participate in meetings with prospects and the proposal process
• Oversee and manage billings and collections of client service invoices

• A minimum of a Bachelor's degree
• CPA is required or in-process
• Experience performing and reviewing property-level accounting and finance functions required
• Experience working with property managers to resolve accounting issues, address concerns, and explain variances required
• Expertise in Real Estate technology systems is required (i.e., Yardi, MRI, etc.)
• Experience in a public accounting firm, consulting firm or other professional services environment preferred but not required
• Progressive experience in accounting and financial management in a real estate accounting environment, in roles such as accounting manager, assistant controller, controller, director of finance, CFO
• Experience in real estate development projects and construction accounting processes and best practices, including job costing and draw package submissions
• Strong technical financial accounting (GAAP, NCREIF, FMV, etc.) knowledge
• Strong management accounting and operational finance knowledge
• Excellent communication skills across all level of an organization and functional areas
• Experience in the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) function, including financial modeling, budgeting and forecasting, and financial analysis
• Proven leadership, management and coaching skills
• Strong time-management and organizational skills with sensitivity to time frames, budgets, and outcomes across multiple clients/projects
• Experience with automated accounting systems (i.e., Yardi, MRI, Blackline, Flo Qast, Basis)

Demonstrates expertise in managing accounting and finance functions within a shared services environment, with a strong focus on real estate technology systems and financial analysis. Proven ability to lead teams, enhance operational efficiency, and provide actionable insights for clients.
