Job Title: Clinic Coordinator (Program Assistant I)

Job Summary:
The University of Colorado, School of Dental Medicine (SDM) is hiring a full-time Clinic Coordinator to support the Undergraduate Dental Program/International Student Program (ISP) in the day-to-day clinical operations of a Comprehensive Care group. We are seeking individuals with demonstrated commitment to creating an inclusive learning and working environment. Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate and monitor the undergraduate student's daily schedule for patient health care
Establish and monitor record keeping system for tracking timely treatment of patients
Monitor the clinical progress of the students using various reporting systems
Ensure adequate clinical experience for students before graduation
Fill in for other positions within the department (e.g., front desk, screenings, etc)
Orient and train new undergraduate dental students in clinic operations (e.g., utilization of clinic support operations and program administrative support)
Assign patients according to student's education/required needs as determined by faculty
Assist faculty in the education and training of dental student's in becoming successful practitioners by effectively managing their clinic time
Attain productive patient relations
Collaborate with the School of Dental Medicine Payment Office to monitor patient accounts by reviewing account histories
Assure compliance of patient financial obligation
Work with the payment office to facilitate corrections as needed
Create forms and files to track students' clinical academic progress
Oversee patient grievance process by independently solving problems and taking action as needed by way of personal interactions, telephone contacts and written correspondence with patients.
Work Location:
Onsite - this role is expected to work onsite and is located in Aurora, Colorado.

Qualifications:
Please make sure to include the following in your resume: job title, duties, months and years employed, and average hours worked per week as minimum experience is calculated on a 40 hour/week basis.
Minimum Qualifications:
Four years of general clerical experience, that includes demonstrated of experience working in a medical/dental environment.
College or university course work, appropriate to the work assignment, may substitute for the experience on a year-for-year basis but not for the experience working in a medical/dental environment
Colorado law requires that candidates for state government jobs be residents of Colorado at the time of application.
Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience working with faculty, staff, and students in a higher education environment
Bilingual in English and Spanish
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems such as word processing, spreadsheets, managing files and records, designing forms, and other office procedures and terminology
Knowledge of principles and processes for providing customer and personal services.
Knowledge of electronic health record system.
Knowledge of teleconferencing software (i.e. Zoom).
Ability to efficiently organize, multi-task, and prioritize duties and tasks.
Ability to work in a fast-paced, high volume environment.
Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
Excellent interpersonal skills
Proficient computer skills.
Ability to interpret and follow complex rules, regulations, policies, procedures, and guidelines.
Ability to handle sensitive matters that require discretion and confidentiality.
