Pay: $20.87 - $27.13 / hour. Pay is dependent on applicant's relevant experience

SummaryCoordinates all aspects of surgery scheduling.
Responsibilities- Schedules inpatient and outpatient surgical appointment times using computerized scheduling programs.
- Coordinates with physicians and other healthcare team members to ensure availability of facilities, surgeon, staff and equipment.
- Communicates with patients and/or their families to provide necessary pre-procedure instructions and to confirm appointments.
- Performs insurance verification and/or pre-authorizations as necessary.
- Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgement and the ability to work with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
- Minimum Required
Education:
High School diploma or GED.
