Department: Obstetrics & Gynecology

Location: Aurora (Anschutz Medical Campus or Denver) – Hybrid: 4 days per week on campus with option for 5th day in person based on business needs.

Job Summary

The Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology has an opening for a full‑time Business Services Professional. This position serves as the primary representative of the Department’s Director of Finance & Administration and its Vice Chairs. The role provides all aspects of administrative support for various departmental, university, national, and international administrative/leadership activities. It maintains the Director’s and Vice Chairs’ appointment calendars and manages general administrative work.

Applicants should have a demonstrated track record of extreme professionalism and ability to handle sensitive matters with complete discretion.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage scheduling for the Director of Finance & Administration and the Vice Chairs across multiple priorities independently.
  • Organize departmental administrative processes related to Vice Chair duties.
  • Develop and manage departmental processes and resources for activities related to Vice Chair duties and departmental administration (e.g., Access & Engagement, Quality & Clinical Affairs, Faculty Affairs & Professional Development).
  • Serve as backup to the Administrative Assistant to the Chair in their absence.
  • Exhibit extreme discretion when handling highly sensitive, confidential issues.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
  • Two (2) years of professional experience in supporting business operations and administration.
  • Substitution: A combination of education and related technical/military/paraprofessional experience may be substituted for a bachelor’s degree on a year for year basis.
  • Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in administrative support duties: calendar management, travel arrangements, expense reports, etc.
  • Experience implementing organizational processes & documentation.
  • Experience using MS Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, etc.).
  • Experience with project management or process improvement.
Conditions of Employment
  • Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the United States without requiring sponsorship.
  • Office work environment with hybrid work schedule of 4 days in person with option to move to full 5 days in person if business needs require.

Compensation
