General Description:Student assistant in the Registration & Records Department who will provide clerical and administrative support to visiting students and Registration and Records Staff.
Duties and Responsibilities:- Assists students with registration processes via Navigate. Banner and Self-Service Banner.
- English and Math Self-Assessments.
- Help review prerequisite errors, time conflict errors, and Department Approval Required Errors to effectively communicate the registration errors to the supervisor(s) on duty.
- Assisting students with scheduling appointments for Testing and Advising.
- Assist students with authorizing their College Opportunity Fund stipend. Trouble shooting COF when it hasn’t applied will be handled by supervisor(s) on duty.
- Assistance with completing the online payment plan.
- General questions regarding incoming and outgoing transcript processes.
- Learn and uphold FERPA guidelines.
- Calling campaigns to students. Usually 2-3 times a year.
- Work studies will be trained to help answer the Registration telephone during staffing shortages.
- Other clerical and administrative duties as needed.
- Good customer service and communication skills with both internal and external customers.
- Basic everyday skills with using computers, typing, internet skills, etc.
- Ability to occasionally lift up to 20 lbs. (not required)
This position is available exclusively to CCA students who are eligible to participate in the Federal Work-Study program. If you are unsure whether you qualify for work-study, please contact the Financial Aid Office at or email financial aid for assistance.
Work-Study Eligibility Requirements:- Must have a completed FAFSA on file
- Must be enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours
- Must not have already earned a first bachelor’s degree
- Must be pursuing an eligible program of study
All submitted applications will undergo an initial review to verify work-study eligibility. Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements will have their applications forwarded to the hiring manager for consideration. The hiring manager will contact selected candidates to schedule an interview.
Applicants who do not meet work-study eligibility requirements will not be advanced in the selection process. Questions regarding work-study eligibility should be directed to the Financial Aid Office.
