Porters will be primarily responsible for pulling vehicles in and out of a canopy structure, assisting customers and coworkers, and following the company’s safety policies and Colorado state traffic laws.
CompensationHourly pay rate: $18.81. Position may be eligible for additional compensation that may include commission (annual, monthly, etc.) and/or an incentive program.
Work SchedulePart‑time schedule (PT):
• Tuesday, Thursday & Friday 9:30am – 5pm
• Wednesday 8am – 3:30pm
- Drive vehicles through auction lanes on sale day safely.
- Drive vehicles to and from designated auction premises and customer dealerships, observing auction driving rules and traffic laws.
- Line up and park vehicles in the correct order as directed, move vehicles as necessary, and locate “lost” vehicles.
- Assist with getting vehicles operating as needed.
- Inflate tires and jump‑start vehicles using a battery box and air tank if necessary.
- Notify supervisor when a vehicle is inoperative or when it runs out of fuel; notify the Service or Gas Truck Driver when necessary.
- Assist customers (dealers, account representatives, rental agencies, etc.) and coworkers as needed.
- Demonstrate safety commitment by following all safety and health procedures and modeling related behaviors.
- Actively participate in all safety activities aligned with Safety Excellence.
- Perform other duties as assigned by management; may be required to work overtime as business needs dictate.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Ready to continuously enter and exit vehicles.
- Ability to sit for prolonged periods.
- Ability to walk long distances.
- Ability to stand, walk, reach, talk, and hear regularly.
- Stooping, kneeling, crouching, bending, squatting, and climbing frequently required.
- Ability to lift 1–15 pounds.
- Vision skills: close, distance, color vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
- High School Diploma or equivalent – preferred.
- Previous auction experience – preferred.
- Ability to drive vehicles with standard and automatic transmissions.
Frequent exposure to outdoor weather conditions and moderate noise level.
