As the Business Services Professional, you will serve as a trusted strategic partner to faculty, fellows, and section leadership, helping to drive initiatives that improve patient care, advance scientific discovery, and strengthen community connections.

In this highly collaborative role, you will blend financial stewardship, program coordination, and administrative leadership to ensure the successful operation and growth of the Behavioral Section. From managing budgets and supporting grant submissions to coordinating educational events, developing business proposals, and fostering partnerships with community stakeholders, you will play a pivotal role in turning ideas into impact. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver who thrives in a fast-paced environment, excels at managing multiple priorities, and is passionate about supporting a team dedicated to excellence in healthcare, education, and research.

Key Responsibilities Business Operations & Program Development
  • Develop and support business proposals and program initiatives
  • Assist with strategic planning and community engagement efforts
  • Support faculty and fellows in advancing section goals and projects
Financial Management
  • Manage section finances, budgets, and funding allocations
  • Maintain accurate financial records and reports
  • Monitor expenditures and support funding management activities
  • Assist with grant application preparation and submission
  • Prepare budgets and controls/monitors revenue and expenditure activity for each source of funds in conjunction with department leadership, including adherence to award restrictions
  • Track, prepare, and present reports for the department, grant administrators and external stakeholders annually and as requested
Grant Support
  • Responsible for supporting various grant submissions, while working with the department’s pre and post award team
  • Liaise with leadership of local and national Behavioral nonprofit groups
  • Communicate directly with funding managers, including state, federal, and industry-level sponsors
  • Prepare budget reports for internal and external constituents
  • Research, prepare, manage, and submit grant proposals and reports for future and continued funding of the Behavioral Section
  • Advise and collaborate with Behavioral Section faculty leadership on funding source direction as it relates to grant budgets, applications, allowable costs, and budget restrictions
Administrative Support
  • Plan and implement program development initiatives to include faculty recruitment, research expansion, specialty clinic operations, and patient education events
  • Manage and coordinate provider’s calendars to include recurring meetings, professional consultations, closing clinic schedule during vacation and conference days, etc.
  • Route and track CU Innovations and/or CU Medicine contracts through entire life cycle.
  • Arrange meetings, conferences and travel as needed (i.e., room reservation, agenda, flyer/handout preparation, presenting, taking meeting minutes, flight, hotel and rental care reservations, etc.)
