This role supports daily operations on a commercial construction project by safely operating a rough-terrain forklift to move materials across the jobsite and by performing general labor tasks. The position focuses on efficient material handling, site organization, and debris removal to keep the project running smoothly and safely.
Responsibilities- Operate rough-terrain forklifts to safely transport materials, equipment, and supplies throughout the construction site.
- Load, unload, and stage materials for various trades to ensure timely access to needed supplies.
- Remove trash, scrap materials, and construction debris from work areas to maintain a clean and safe jobsite.
- Maintain clean and organized laydown yards, storage areas, and work zones.
- Assist construction crews with material handling, including moving and positioning materials as directed.
- Perform general labor tasks as needed to support ongoing construction activities.
- Follow all site safety procedures and equipment operating guidelines while performing material handling and forklift duties.
- Proven experience operating a rough-terrain forklift on commercial construction sites.
- At least 6 months of experience working on a commercial construction site moving materials.
- Strong material handling skills in an active construction environment.
- Ability to lift 50+ pounds safely and repeatedly during the workday.
- Capability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Dependable work habits with the ability to follow instructions and prioritize tasks.
- Basic understanding of construction site safety practices and protocols.
Skills & Qualifications
- Valid forklift certification is preferred.
- Experience working in laydown yards and organized material staging areas.
- Experience in general labor on construction sites.
- Ability to communicate clearly with site supervisors and trade crews.
- Comfort working around heavy equipment and active construction operations.

WorkEnvironment
This position is based on an active commercial construction site and involves working outdoors in varying weather conditions. The standard schedule is Monday through Friday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., totaling approximately 40 hours per week. You will spend much of your time operating a rough-terrain forklift, handling materials in laydown yards, and performing general labor tasks around the site.
The environment is fast-paced and safety-focused, with regular interaction with multiple trades and heavy equipment. Appropriate work attire includes durable clothing and footwear suitable for construction settings, along with any required personal protective equipment provided or specified by the site.
This is a Contract position based out of Aurora, CO.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $27.00 - $28.00/hr.
