We're looking to bring on a Fixed-Term W-2 employee for a safety opportunity.
Where: Aurora, CO
Client: Large General Contractor
When: ASAP
Duration: 6+-months
Pay: $40-$45/hr straight time -
Hours: 40+ hours a week
Per Diem: Local candidates take precedent!! Open to per diem.
- 7 Years minimum safety/construction experience
- OPSHA 30
- OSHA 510
- First Aid/CPR/AED Certification
- Hold one of the following.
- CSSS,CSST
Position Overview
The Site Safety Professional will be responsible for overseeing daily field safety operations on an 18-month data center construction project located on an Air Force Base in Aurora, Colorado. This individual will work closely with the General Contractor's safety team to ensure a safe and compliant work environment for all personnel on site.
Key responsibilities include ensuring OSHA compliance, enforcing site-specific safety policies and procedures, conducting field inspections, identifying and correcting hazards, facilitating safety meetings, and promoting a proactive safety culture throughout the project.
The ideal candidate is highly visible in the field, possesses strong construction safety experience, and is confident communicating with project teams, subcontractors, and management. This individual should be able to build positive working relationships while maintaining firm safety standards and accountability across the jobsite.
Responsibilities:
- Oversee daily field safety operations and site inspections
- Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and project-specific safety requirements
- Support the General Contractor's safety management team
- Conduct safety orientations, toolbox talks, and training sessions
- Investigate incidents and near misses and recommend corrective actions
- Monitor subcontractor activities and ensure adherence to safety protocols
- Maintain safety documentation, reports, and records
- Promote and reinforce a proactive safety culture throughout the project
Preferred Qualifications:
- Construction safety experience on large commercial, industrial, or data center projects
- Strong knowledge of OSHA standards and best practices
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work effectively with project management, subcontractors, and client representatives
- OSHA 30 required; CSSS, CSST, or other relevant certifications preferred
- Experience working on federal, military, or secure-access projects is a plus
