Valley Country Club, located in Aurora, CO, is pleased to announce an excellent career opportunity for a part-time Recreation Attendant! We are seeking a driven individual who is eager to learn, contribute, and grow within a fast-paced hospitality-focused property organization. As part of Troon, you will contribute to a global leader in golf and community management.

Role Type:

Seasonal (Position will last 6 months or less)

Pay:

$15.16 - $17.00 per hour

General

Purpose:

Performs all recreation duties and activities related to facility operations, including youth programs, daily activity programs, holidays, special events, and conference activities.

Essential Duties:
  • Maintain cleanliness of facility operations according to established daily maintenance procedures
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of department programs, events, and activities; answer guest questions regarding such programs
  • Record all cash, checks, and charges based on established cash control procedures
  • Maintain understanding of operating procedures for pool, bikes, boats, and fitness equipment
  • Complete checklists for opening, closing, and daily procedures
  • Take direction from the Facility Coordinator, Special Event and Youth Coordinator, and Conference Recreation Coordinator
  • Assist in the implementation of programs, youth programs, special events, and conference recreation events
  • Provide a safe environment within facilities and activities
  • Process recreation reservations as needed
  • Incorporate safe work practices in job performance
  • Regular and reliable attendance
  • Perform other duties as required
Physical Demands:
  • Frequently stands, uses hands, talks, and hears
  • Regularly reaches with hands and arms; may taste or smell
  • Occasionally walks, sits, climbs, balances, stoops, kneels, crouches, or crawls
  • Occasionally lifts up to 50 pounds
Environment/Noise:
  • Frequently works in wet or humid conditions (non-weather)
  • Regularly works in outdoor weather conditions
  • Occasionally works near moving mechanical parts, in high or precarious places, and may come into contact with toxic or caustic chemicals
  • Noise level is moderate
Certificates/Licenses:

CPR and First Aid Certification.

Education/

Experience:

No prior experience or training required.

Ability to read and speak English may be required to perform the duties of the job (e.g., associates may be required to communicate with English-speaking customers or co-workers; manuals for equipment may be in English).
