Science Lab Teacher

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated Science Lab teacher to join our team at SCA Enrichment. Our science lab teacher will teach approximately 3 hours of labs every Thursday that SCA is in session. Classes will be grouped into K-2, 3-4, and 5-6.
* The science lab teacher will deliver engaging and inspiring age-appropriate instruction, expose students to a variety of scientific concepts, and prepare hands-on experiments/projects. A materials stipend will be provided, and all materials purchased will become property of Southside Classical Academy.

* This is the proposed hour commitment and classroom grouping – grouping will be finalized after registration period.

Job Duties Entail:

• Classroom instruction and management

• Provide guidance and teaching in hands-on science experiments

• Maintain a clean and orderly classroom

• Participate in special events throughout the year (e.g., Orientation, Student Showcase)

• Respond to parent communications in a timely manner and resolve parental concerns

• Learn parent names and greet parents personally as opportunity presents

Compensation:
$25-35/hr, depending on experience.

· Have received Jesus Christ as their personal Savior and seek to live a Christ-centered life. This includes being a Christian role model in attitude, speech, and action toward others.

· Must believe that the Bible is God’s Word and is the standard by which faith and daily living are to be measured.

· Must agree with Southside Classical Academy’s Statement of Faith. Please read diligently before submitting your application.

· Must exhibit spiritual sensitivity, academic ability, and personal leadership qualities in order to train children in spiritual virtue, biblical character, and academic excellence.

· Regularly attend or are a member at local church that is not antithetical to the statement of faith of Southside Classical Academy. If you are a member of Southside Bible Church, your interview process will be expedited.

Subject Related -

· Possess a demonstrated dedication to and love for science!

· Have an ability to deliver science lab instruction effectively and energetically to children of varying ages.

· Have experience in teaching (home-schooling your own children counts!)
