Special Education Teacher in Aurora,

A middle school Special Education Teacher position is available at a school located in Aurora, CO, for the current school year (CSY) on a contract basis. This role involves supporting and educating students with special needs in a middle school setting.

• Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each students needs
• Modify curriculum and instruction methods to accommodate learning disabilities and challenges
• Collaborate with general education teachers, support staff, and families to ensure student success
• Monitor and assess student progress regularly and adjust strategies as needed
• Maintain accurate records of student performance and compliance with state and federal regulations

• Valid teaching certification in Special Education
• Experience teaching middle school students with diverse special needs
• Strong knowledge of special education laws, strategies, and best practices
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
