The teacher will create learning experiences that make the content meaningful to all students, understanding central concepts, methods of inquiry, and structures of disciplines.
Duties and Responsibilities- Ensure all actions align with Board policies, mission statement, and strategic plan.
- Participate in professional development to enhance instructional skills.
- Plan, prepare, and deliver instructional activities that facilitate active learning.
- Engage students in an inquiry‑based delivery model.
- Provide a variety of learning materials and resources.
- Use a wide range of instructional strategies and technologies to meet diverse student needs.
- Consider equitable resources and instructional practices.
- Update and maintain necessary records accurately and completely.
- Create and maintain a safe learning environment.
- Demonstrate effective behavior management techniques.
- Maintain discipline per building expectations and the district’s student code of conduct.
- Communicate regularly with students, colleagues, and parents about progress and needs.

- Finger use, grasping – Manipulating small items.
- Talking, hearing – Communicating with spoken word; perceiving sounds for instruction.
- Repetitive motions – Substantial wrist, hand, or finger movements.
- Work occurs in both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Noise may require shouting.
- Exposure to heat or cold may exceed one hour periods.
