Eiber Elementary is a small neighborhood elementary school in north-central Lakewood, Colorado, serving roughly 350 students. The school offers K–5 grades, with 2–3 classrooms at each level, and a strong program of support staff and instructional coaching. Nearly 90% of students receive free or reduced lunch, and 37% are English Language Learners. Eiber is one of six elementary schools with a Spanish Dual Language program.

Min–Mid Annual Salary Range: $56,085.00–$75,142.00 (Effective 08-16-2025)

• Develop, implement, and support individualized practices for learning outcomes for students with communication, cognitive, physical, and/or social/behavioral needs per IDEA.
• Utilize evidence-based best practices and frequent progress monitoring for programming adjustments.
• Take a leadership role in collaborative problem‑solving interventions for students.
• Design and implement specialized instruction in one‑on‑one, small‑group, and large‑classroom settings.
• Collaborate to plan and modify curriculum, team‑teach with general educators, and communicate students’ abilities and needs.
• Develop and review behavioral plans for designated students.
• Conduct IEP and referral meetings, conferences, and develop a multidisciplinary approach to educational enhancement.
• Maintain ongoing communication with regular educators, school staff, students, and parents.
• Create a safe, supportive, and understanding environment for disabled students.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Valid Colorado teaching license with Special Education Generalist endorsement.
• Content‑area qualification if designated as teacher of record (endorsed content, appropriate degree, state‑approved exam, or 36 credit hours).
• Training emphasis in Learning Disabled/Perceptual Communicative preferred.

• Experience with educationally disabled children, including an internship or supervised experience.
• Training in understanding and interpreting educational assessments and prescriptive teaching.
• Demonstrated ability to collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to develop materials, facilitate inclusion, and design and implement behavioral plans.
• Compliance with Special Education Department and district policies (e.g., Medicaid billing, accident reporting).

Normal routine levels of activity related to bending, carrying, climbing, hearing, reaching, sitting, standing, vision, and walking; may involve above‑average levels of activity at times not always anticipated. Ability to meet the physical needs of students.

Job Status: Ongoing. A successful external applicant will be issued a probationary contract. A successful internal applicant currently holding a probationary or non‑probationary contract will maintain that status.
