Job Summary

As a catalyst for growth, the Instructional Excellence RAiSE Coach supports the components of the RAiSE program, providing job-embedded professional learning to staff at assigned schools to promote the district’s core values, vision, mission, strategic plan, and student-centered Instructional Excellence model. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The following duties outline the fundamental operations of the position:

  • Support the implementation of the RAiSE Program by mentoring new teaching staff, providing professional learning and support, acting as a lead learner and serving as a model for resiliency.
  • Support instructional practices in school buildings by collaborating with the Performance Improvement Department and the RAiSE program partner to lead initiatives that support student growth, implementing student‑centered coaching and other coaching models, planning and delivering building professional learning, supporting onboarding of new-to-building staff, and communicating Colorado Academic Standards.
  • Collaborate with building and district leadership to build a culture of coaching within schools, develop relationships, and communicate effectively in the school environment.
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested.
Reporting Relationships

This position has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications

Criminal background check and fingerprinting required. Minimum qualifications include:

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Five (5) years of professional work experience
  • Strong communication, organization, and human relations skills
  • Ability to consistently demonstrate a high degree of professionalism
  • Ability to maintain and promote a focus on continual growth
  • Ability to align curriculum and assessments with state content standards
  • Ability to support programs designed to increase student achievement
  • Ability to assume leadership in the development and communication of programs and curriculum
  • Ability and desire to work as a team member
  • Ability to actively participate in a Professional Learning Community
  • Ability to understand, appreciate, and make accommodations for student diversity
  • Ability to serve as a role model and an innovative and creative learner with an insatiable thirst for knowledge that stays on the cutting edge of instructional practice and pedagogy

  • Formal education beyond a Bachelor’s degree in curriculum and instruction
  • Experience working directly with people from diverse racial, ethnic, and socioeconomic backgrounds
