Position DetailsPart‑time After‑School Site Educator in the Weld RE‑8 School District. Work Monday‑Friday from 2:45 pm to 6:00 pm (exact hours may vary slightly). The position starts in July/August 2026 and pays $20 per hour, adjusted for education and group‑childcare experience.
Responsibilities- Organize program materials for lessons and activities.
- Document attendance, incidents, and other observations.
- Deliver a dynamic daily curriculum that engages children academically and socially.
- Model positive guidance and classroom management to maintain safety and support homework completion.
- Lead fitness activities and guide children during play.
- Communicate effectively with children, parents, staff, and school personnel.
- Meet regularly with the Program Manager to review professional progress and team accountability.
- Age 18 or older.
- High‑school graduate or GED.
- At least 18 years old and a high school graduate or GED.
- Must currently reside in the surrounding areas.
- Must be available Monday‑Friday 2:45 pm‑6:00 pm; no weekends.
- State licensing requirement: verifiable 460 hours of licensed group‑childcare supervision for children kindergarten‑6th grade, or 40 hours of approved training courses.
- Provide a letter from a licensed childcare facility showing at least 460 supervising hours (kinder‑6th grade) and three professional references.
- Proof of a high school diploma/GED required.
- Outstanding customer‑service and relationship‑building skills.
- Team‑player with at least one year of supervisory/management experience.
- Experience working with children under 13 years of age.
- Ability to lift 25‑40 lbs.
- Commitment to inspiring a love for learning and healthy living.
- Ability to meet state‑specific requirements (Live Scan fingerprint, mandated reporter training, health certificate/TB clearance, CPR/FA, etc.).
