Purpose of Job

To engage students in‑person and online, collaborate with teachers and site staff to promote student success, provide outreach, support services, and respond to identified students ensuring each student achieves personal and program goals; and to provide on‑site direct support to staff and students in overall management and operation of the school.

Essential Duties & Major Accountabilities
  • Show up, be accountable to students, staff, and team.
  • Connect, develop and maintain transparent and honest relationships with students and team.
  • Succeed, become a strong unified team providing an innovative environment for student success.
  • Maintain a regular on‑site presence; coordinate with virtual responsibilities as needed.
Interventions
  • Provide interventions as needed, including home visits, parent communications, and student success plans.
  • Monitor attendance data to identify engaged students.
  • Document interventions in a timely manner.
Transportation
  • Transport students for school‑related activities using required CDE driver certification and certified GOAL vehicle.
MTSS
  • Monitor student attendance data to identify and provide interventions.
  • Ensure quality and timely documentation of all interventions.
Truancy
  • Collaborate with regional leadership and Social Emotional Team for accurate truancy documentation.
  • Attend truancy court hearings for identified students as needed.
  • Assist with community and legal resources.
Compliance
  • Complete assigned training and adhere to school policy, state law, confidentiality, mandatory reporting, FERPA, and other compliance requirements.
Community Engagement
  • Collaborate with Social Emotional Team to connect students to external resources.
Recruitment
  • Actively recruit new students through community partnerships and events using GOAL marketing materials.
Support:
Academic / Social Emotional
  • Provide basic tech support for students and manage GOAL Helpdesk ticketing system.
  • Facilitate student academic learning and growth with teachers.
  • Facilitate student access to accommodations and social emotional support staff as needed.
  • Provide a caring and inclusive environment.
Assessments
  • Champion culture of assessment; ensure student participation and proctor state‑mandated tests.
Platform Knowledge
  • Understand student experience in GOAL learning platforms:
    Schoology, Edgenuity, and GOAL Portal.
Gladiator Connections / Advocacy Communication
  • Build connections with staff, students, and parents; provide progress reports and conferences.
Extra‑Curricular
  • Be knowledgeable of GOAL Academy’s extra‑curricular activities and student opportunities.
Daily Attendance
  • Maintain daily student communication and document attendance using GOAL systems.
Teamwork
  • Participate in daily POD huddles to establish clear communication and define responsibilities.

  • Willingness to travel regionally and transport students as required.

  • Must work all scheduled calendar days in Colorado.
Minimum Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Residence in Colorado.
Education
  • High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
  • Demonstrate subject matter competency by either:
    • • Earning an associate or higher degree, or;
    • • Completing at least two years (48 credit hours) of study at a higher education institution, or;
    • • Passing formal assessment in reading, writing, and mathematics.
