Special Education Teacher - Early Childhood

Pediatric Developmental Services (PDS) is looking to hire an Early Childhood Special Education Teacher to join our staff and work in an amazing school. • Colorado State Special Services Provider or State Teacher's License required.
• Master's Degree in Special Education.
• Experience working with 3-5 year old students.
• Must have a CDE ECSE (Early Childhood Special Educator) license.

• Create and execute Individualized Education Plans (IEP) for each of the students in your care.
• Work with preschool students with severe needs, ages 3-5.
• Manage a maximum caseload of 15; students attend Mon‑Thu and staff work Friday planning and collaborating.
• Communicate with other staff and family members about each student’s progress and struggles.
• Prepare detailed lesson plans and submit them to administrators for approval.
• Participate in IEP meetings as scheduled by the school.
• Use individualized reinforcement techniques to keep each student on the path toward greatness.
• Invite family members to participate in each student’s educational progress.
• Create and distribute progress reports quarterly.
• Confer with on‑site therapist over disciplinary and behavioral issues with students.
• Create a safe, productive classroom environment.
