Job Summary

Support the district and schools to meet the progress monitoring and reporting requirements of the READ Act. Collaborate with directors and partners in the Office of Performance Improvement to adhere to timelines, communicate effectively with educators across the system about requirements, and support the use of data reporting and management systems to monitor the growth of students. Support K-12 educators in their design of READ Plans.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

The subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out. They do not encompass a comprehensive inventory of the obligations and responsibilities fulfilled in this role. The approximation of frequencies and time allocation percentages are flexible and subject to the requirements of the organization.   • Support READ Act required progress monitoring and reporting. Support schools and teachers in the development of READ Plans and corresponding supports, as well as support the implementation of the district wide professional development plan and vision. Assist Performance Improvement Department Directors and Executive Directors of schools with planning, coordinating, and managing the daily operations of their assigned content area. (Daily, 25%)
  • Support teachers’ understanding and design of “best assessment practices” in instruction, emphasizing the use of strong body of evidence. Support Directors and Executive Directors on current and future legislative initiatives impacting designated area of expertise. (Daily, 20%)
  • Support system understanding of the Colorado Academic Standards using best instructional practices that will promote success for all students. (Daily, 15%)
  • Enlist collaborative support of Instructional Coaches, Instructional Coordinators, and site coordinators to align, implement and address specific learning goals and district initiatives. Work in collaboration with Learning Partners to support ongoing district initiatives. (Daily, 10%)
  • Understand systems and structures that serve to strengthen or act as barriers. Support implementation of effective systems and structures to ensure high levels of learning for every student. (Daily, 5%)
  • Build and maintain a strong professional relationship with all District and school-based collaborative teams. Collaborate with teachers, support personnel, administrators, and colleagues to enhance instruction and improve students’ outcomes. (Daily, 5%)
  • Support leadership capacity to promote lasting structures that will support student achievement needs. (Daily, 5%)
  • Represent the Cherry Creek School District at State level and local meetings while staying current with federal guidelines, legislation, and trends and current ideas. (Monthly, 5%)
  • Participate in department, team, building, and District meetings and discussions; student and/or family conferences; social, cultural, interscholastic, and extracurricular activities; and professional growth opportunities. (Daily, 5%)
  • Perform other duties as assigned or requested. (Daily, 5%)
Reporting Relationships

This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Student teaching/practicum/internship experience that meets or exceeds Colorado's requirements
  • Colorado Department of Education (CDE) teaching license
  • Appropriate CDE endorsements or equivalent in the content field
  • Basic knowledge of typical office equipment such as telephones, copiers, fax machines, email, etc.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Office
  • Basic classroom management and planning skills
  • Basic organizational skills
  • Intermediate verbal and written communication and interpersonal relations skills
  • Ability to align curriculum and assessments with state content standards
  • Ability to support programs designed to increase student achievement
  • Ability to assume leadership in the development and communication of programs and curriculum
