JOB SUMMARY:

Assess and provide intervention to ensure student success and promote an exemplary educational program which fosters achievement for all students.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:The subsequent duties outline the fundamental operations of the position and exemplify the nature of the tasks carried out. Perform in all areas of counseling services including, but not limited to: guidance services, counseling services, registration process, scheduling, testing/assessments, student academic advisement and orientation programs for students, parents and staff.

Gather, interpret and evaluate data for program modification and interventions.

Align assessments with state content standards.

Positively impact achievement and differentiate services based on the needs of the students by supporting programs designed to increase student achievement.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS:
This job has no direct supervisory responsibilities.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:The minimum prerequisites of formal education, professional work experience, certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, trainings, and other criteria that a candidate must fulfill to be considered for a position. It is essential that certifications, licenses, endorsements, designations, and trainings are fulfilled, valid, and not expired.

  • Criminal background check and fingerprinting required
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Three (3) years of Successful counseling and teaching experience
  • Colorado Department of Education (CDE) Special Services Provider (SSP) license
  • CDE School Counselor (PreK-12) endorsement
  • Strong communication, organization and planning skills
  • Experience in an educational environment
  • Experience with concurrent enrollment and ASCENT programming
