Overview

History Colorado, Education Department:
Inspiring the Next Generation by transforming how K-12 students experience the past. We are hiring 8 half-time Ameri Corps members across five sites to champion equitable access to culturally relevant history education. History Colorado is committed to equity, diversity, inclusion, and cultural competency.

• Positions Available: 8 half-time members across 5 sites
• Service Term: 50-week service term
• Living Allowance: up to $18,000 (pre-tax), distributed biweekly in installments of $720
• Professional growth and development opportunities in museum and education fields

• Facilitating Programs:
  Deliver high-impact K-12 educational programming focusing on equitable access to culturally relevant history, including hands-on history programs, field trips, classroom visits, and tours aligned with academic standards

  Guide and facilitate overnight museum camps, including overnight supervision
• Community Engagement:
  Support cultural programming, research initiatives, and History Colorado story and community engagement projects
• Collaboration:
  
  Work with museum staff and external community partners to enhance reach and impact
• Continuous Improvement:
  Participate in professional development and contribute fresh perspectives to improve offerings
