Program Overview
CYC brought Math Corps to Colorado in 2021 to provide math supports for 4th-8th grade students. Colorado Math Corps is an Ameri Corps program whose mission is to ensure that Colorado students in grades 4-8 who are struggling in math receive individualized support to improve math skills. The Math Corps program combines the power of national service with numerical science to deliver proven approaches that help struggling learners transform into confident students – something that translates into all areas of their lives.
Because Math Corps tutors are in schools full‑time, they provide consistent tutoring, which increases impact on student success. Tutors commit to a term of service, receive rigorous training and ongoing expert coaching, and use rich data assessments to ensure that their efforts produce desired results – helping children achieve grade‑level math proficiency.
