Job Summary:The front desk assistant supports the Advising Department (Pathway Advising and Career Services). The front desk assistant will be the first point of contact for students and will work to support the advising team by guiding students to the resources and services that best meet their needs.
Duties & Responsibilities:- Greet, welcome, and assist students with general information and resources
- Direct students to appropriate pathway advisors, departments and resources
- Answer Incoming Calls, responding to voicemail and e-mails
- Schedule advising appointments
- Send post-appointment surveys to students
- Assemble materials for new student folders, workshops, employers and communities
- Organize, maintain and stock materials in the advising office
- Assist with other duties as needed
- Excellent communications skills
- Comfortable talking with others on the phone and in- person

- Work-study eligible

Eligibility Requirements- Must have a completed FAFSA on file
- Must have a enrolled in a minimum of six (6) credit hours
- Must not have already earned a first bachelor’s degree
- Must be pursuing an eligible program of study
All submitted applications will undergo an initial review to verify work-study eligibility. Applicants who meet the eligibility requirements will have their applications forwarded to the hiring manager for consideration. The hiring manager will contact selected candidates to schedule an interview.
Applicants who do not meet work-study eligibility requirements will not be advanced in the selection process. Questions regarding work-study eligibility should be directed to the Financial Aid Office.
