We're partnering with a school district in Boulder County, Colorado to hire a dedicated Occupational Therapist (OT) for the 2026–2027 school year.
This full-time, onsite opportunity offers the chance to make a meaningful impact supporting elementary students with intensive needs across two school sites. You'll work closely with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to help students develop the functional, sensory, motor, and self-regulation skills needed to succeed in the educational environment. We're seeking a therapist with at least one year of classroom or school-based experience who is passionate about helping students build independence and achieve their goals.
- Location: Onsite in Boulder County, CO
- Schedule: Full-Time, Monday–Friday
- Weekly Hours: 35 hours per week
- School Year: 2026–2027
- Grade Level: Elementary
- Student Population: Intensive Needs Program
- Caseload: Approximately 50 students (25 students at each school)
Responsibilities
- Provide occupational therapy services to students in alignment with IEP goals and educational needs.
- Conduct evaluations and assessments to determine students' fine motor, sensory, functional, and adaptive skill needs.
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans that support student participation and independence in the school setting.
- Collaborate with teachers, related service providers, and families to support student progress across educational environments.
- Recommend and implement adaptive equipment, assistive technology, and environmental modifications when appropriate.
- Support students with sensory processing, self-regulation, fine motor development, visual motor skills, and functional school-based tasks.
- Maintain accurate documentation, progress monitoring, and compliance with district, state, and federal requirements.
- Participate in IEP meetings, multidisciplinary team meetings, and ongoing collaboration to support student success.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program
- NBCOT certification
- Minimum of 1 year of classroom or school-based experience
- Experience supporting students with intensive or complex needs preferred
- Knowledge of IEP processes and school-based service delivery
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
