Do you walk into a room and the energy shifts? Are you the kind of teacher whose students remember you years later not just for what you taught, but for how you made them feel?

Stage Images Dance Studio is looking for a

Tumbling and/or Acrobatic Arts Instructor

a warm, grounded, and reliable educator who leads with heart and shows up prepared every single time.

About Us

We provide intentional, technique-driven training within a supportive, community-focused environment for dancers ages 2.5 through adult. At Stage Images Dance Studio, our faculty is made up of passionate, experienced educators who are committed to developing dancers as artists, athletes, and individuals. Each team member brings a unique blend of training, expertise, and mentorship – ensuring our dancers receive thoughtful, age-appropriate instruction in a supportive and professional environment.

Your

Role

As a Tumbling/Acro Instructor, you will lead classes across all levels, from our youngest movers to advanced performers. You own your classroom: the safety, the structure, the energy, and the growth of every performer in it. You will report to either studio director.

Key Responsibilities Teaching and Classroom Leadership
  • Lead safe, structured, engaging classes that follow appropriate curriculum and lesson plans
  • Hold calm classroom authority: clear expectations, warm corrections, set boundaries
  • Deliver age-appropriate instruction and corrections for every level you teach
  • Track each performer’s skills progression and celebrate growth
Performance and End of Year Show Readiness
  • Build performance confidence progressively through the season
  • Support studio events, dress rehearsals, and production weeks as scheduled
Community and Professionalism
  • Greet families warmly and communicate professionally at drop-off and pick-up
  • Arrive early, prepared, with music and lesson plan ready, every class
  • Communicate proactively with the Artistic Director using Slack
  • Take weekly attendance and note any behavioral issues, positive interactions, and other behaivor
  • Protect and model Stage Images culture and values
Qualifications
  • Experience teaching or leading groups of children (dance, education, camps, or coaching)
  • Tumbling and/or Acrobatic training adequate to teach assigned levels safely and correctly
  • Reliable availability matching the schedule below
  • Clean background check
  • Preferred: training in multiple genres, recital or production experience, early childhood experience
What We Are Looking For

We hire humans who nurture first, professionals who execute second, and technical experts third. A warm, coachable teacher with growing technique will always beat a brilliant technician who is cold with kids. We are looking for teachers that consider the whole human, not just the dancer.

We are looking for instructors with experience in:
  • Acro/Tumbling
  • Teaching skills safely to be used in dance environments such as aerials, handsprings, hip hop tricks, tumbling passes, etc.
  • Our current Acro Dance/Tumbling program has been taught by an Acrobatic Arts Certified (AAC) Teacher, with students in levels Primary through 4. We are not exam focused, but only provide classes for non-performance experience. Ideally we would love to have an AAC teacher continue classes, but it is not required to currently have this certification.
This is not the right fit if you…
  • Want a drop-in gig where you teach your own material and leave
  • Care more about awards than about the child in front of you
  • Are not consistently available: our performers count on seeing your face every week
  • Bristle at feedback or structured curriculum
  • See younger or beginning classes as a stepping stone instead of the real work
Schedule

Dependent on the day, we do have a set schedule in place for the new dance year. Approximately 1 to 15…
