Overview

NASK is expanding its mission‑focused engineering team and seeking a Senior Digital Signal Processing (DSP) Engineer to design, develop, and deliver signal processing solutions for the Intelligence and Defense communities. We are seeking a senior, hands‑on engineer with deep expertise in C/C++ development of high‑performance algorithms and a deep understanding of near real‑time digital signal processing systems who has experience working in a larger team to deploy working code to cloud platforms using CI/CD processes.

The ideal candidate leads by doing—reviewing code, unblocking technical issues, and mentoring junior engineers while remaining directly responsible for implementation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, develop, and implement advanced DSP algorithms for real‑time and near real‑time processing systems.
  • Lead the maturation of algorithmic concepts from proof‑of‑concept through deployment in operational environments.
  • Analyze, process, and identify RF signals across a variety of emitter types.
  • Apply advanced signal processing techniques to address detection, estimation, matched filtering, waveform identification, and feature extraction.
  • Collaborate with cross‑functional engineering teams to integrate DSP solutions into larger system architectures.
  • Conduct performance analysis, optimization, and validation of algorithms in simulated and live environments.
  • Contribute to system design reviews, technical documentation, and code management processes.
  • Mentor junior engineers and contribute to a culture of technical excellence and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
  • Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • 10+ years of experience developing RF signal collection, processing, and exploitation solutions.
  • Proficient in C/C++ for high‑performance algorithm development.
  • Strong understanding of real‑time systems and embedded software development.
  • Experience supporting SIGINT systems development within the Intelligence or Defense community.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Mathematics, or a related technical field (or equivalent experience).
Preferred Qualifications
  • Knowledge of geolocation theory and techniques
  • Experience operating in complex RF environments
  • Proficiency in Python, MATLAB, or Octave for algorithm prototyping and analysis
