THE WORK
Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented level 3 Satellite Mission Engineer with an active TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance to work from our Aurora, CO location.
As Satellite Mission Engineer, you will:
* Conduct mission/program specific real time spacecraft/satellite flight operations during readiness, execution and evaluation phases.
* Develop detailed plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support in areas such as orbit dynamics, satellite performance analysis, command and control of on-orbit satellites.
* Provide technical direction for on orbit mission support, plans for critical vehicle malfunctions and recommends alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support.
* Provide failure analysis of the performance of the orbiting satellites via telemetry data.
* Utilize system software to accomplish all spacecraft control tasks and recommend improvements.
* Perform flight length orbit adjust and daily special event studies.
This is an EARLY-MID CAREER (level
3) ROLE where candidates typically require 3+ years of professional experience and a BS degree.

Basic Qualifications:
* 3+ years of related experience
* Must have an active TS/SCI w/ poly clearance
* Demonstrated extensive knowledge of real-time mission operations - (SIGINT experience).
* Ability to perform real-time troubleshooting and
anomaly resolution
* Experience developing, operating, and testing
modern technical systems
* Experience working independently and in technical teams
* Strong organizational and problem-solving skills

* Exemplary written and verbal communication skills
coupled with strong interpersonal team building skills
to effectively engage team members as well as elevate
appropriate issues to management

will ensure success at designing and implementing
systems within a large, complex, real-time operational
system
