Position Overview
Lockheed Martin is seeking a Level 3 Satellite Mission Engineer with an active TS/SCI with Poly clearance to work from our Aurora, CO location.
Responsibilities- Conduct mission/program specific real-time spacecraft/satellite flight operations during readiness, execution, and evaluation phases.
- Develop detailed plans and procedures to provide maximum mission support in areas such as orbit dynamics, satellite performance analysis, command and control of on-orbit satellites.
- Provide technical direction for on-orbit mission support, plans for critical vehicle malfunctions, and recommend alternate operating techniques to continue maximum mission support.
- Provide failure analysis of the performance of the orbiting satellites via telemetry data.
- Utilize system software to accomplish all spacecraft control tasks and recommend improvements.
- Perform flight length orbit adjustment and daily special event studies.
- 3+ years of related professional experience.
- Must have an active TS/SCI with Poly clearance.
- Demonstrated extensive knowledge of real-time mission operations (SIGINT experience).
- Ability to perform real-time troubleshooting and anomaly resolution.
- Experience developing, operating, and testing modern technical systems.
- Experience working independently and in technical teams.
- Strong organizational and problem‑solving skills.
- Experience with satellite operations and subsystems.
- Experience with satellite ground control systems.
- Exemplary written and verbal communication skills and strong interpersonal team‑building skills.
- Excellent communication ability to work well in a technical team.
- Systems engineering background or exposure to designing and implementing systems within large, complex real‑time operational environments.
