** THE WORK*
* Lockheed Martin is seeking a talented
** level 2 Satellite Mission Engineer with an active TS/SCI w/ Poly clearance to work from our Aurora, CO location*
* This role is within the Double Eagle organization supporting the Ground Engineering Team as a Ground Engineer There are multiple technical career paths you can take on this team, and depending on which path you take, you may:
- Provide ground system oversight
- Provide troubleshooting, problem identification, analysis, problem resolution, and maintenance activities for hardware and software issues
- Provide integration of new system functionalities
- Provide hardware maintenance and troubleshooting
- Be responsible for multiple program processes and documentation management
- Provide project portfolio management for the greater team
- Act as a program authority and spokesperson for ground related issues and coordinate/collaborate directly with numerous program teams
- Participate in and/or lead working groups and make presentations/recommendations to customers and the leadership team on detailed technical aspects of the system
- Potentially be on call 24/7 on a rotational basis within a 2 hour recall
Candidate should have ground engineering/operations experience, advanced communication skills, and a strong desire to help the greater team be successful
This is an
** EMERGING PROFESSIONAL level 2 CAREER ROLE where candidates typically require 1 years of professional experience
** and a BS degree

* Basic Qualifications:
*
* - Bachelor's degree in Engineering or other technical degree; equivalent professional experience or relevant job experience in lieu of a degree may be considered
- Must have a demonstrated ability to cultivate and develop effective customer relationships and work with senior technical management
- Ability to learn and troubleshoot complex systems
- Basic programming skills using UNIX/LINUX operating system
- Active TS/SCI clearance with CI polygraph required for consideration
