Process Engineer – Aurora, CO
Philip Morris International is looking for a Process Engineer to join our new Aurora, CO Plant.
Responsibilities- Contribute to the efficiency and sustainability of overall production processes and activities.
- Support the continuous achievement of department performance targets.
- Run continuous improvement processes, collect ideas, and prioritize process and system enhancements.
- Coordinate the evaluation and implementation of ideas with process system owners in central, regional, local, and service provider functions.
- Identify Education and training (E&T) capability‑building needs for today and the future and eliminate capability gaps by coordinating the provision of required training.
- Statistically analyze processes and losses to detect opportunities for improvement.
- Design and implement improvement plans based on detected opportunities.
- Coordinate and execute tests of new technologies and materials, determining the course of action based on results.
- Serve as the point of contact with regional/global teams to incorporate and share improvement practices.
- Manage change through the design, adequacy, and maintenance of process specifications.
- Design, adapt, and structure processes for customer satisfaction in compliance with PMI standards.
- Maintain management systems and comply with appropriate audits.
- Fluent in English (both written and verbal).
- Legally authorized to work in the U.S.
- Position is onsite five days a week.
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and practices.
- Process Simulation:
Ability to use simulation tools to model and optimize manufacturing processes. - A graduate with an Engineering degree and experience in continuous improvement roles, including Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, Six Sigma, or similar (mandatory).
- Proficiency in continuous improvement tools (root cause analysis, Pareto, fishbone, 8D, etc.).
- Solid knowledge of statistics.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel) and SAP (desirable).
- FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis):
Identifying potential failures in processes and mitigating risks.
Annual Base Salary Range: $88,000 - $110,000
